Before you begin: meet the friends
Capitu is a calm, patient, and observant capybara. Miquinho is an energetic, funny capuchin monkey who is full of ideas. Luma is an expressive, creative, and attentive blue macaw.
Their differences do not pull the group apart. Each way of thinking, feeling, and joining in makes the adventure richer.
Three ways to use the activity
Bring out colored pencils, crayons, or markers and let the child choose how they would like to take part.
- Use the colors from the book or invent completely new versions of the characters.
- Choose one color for each personality and explain the reason for the choice.
- Invent a short adventure in which Capitu, Miquinho, and Luma combine their strengths.
Questions that make room for children
Choose one or two questions and let the conversation follow the child's pace.
- Which friend would you most like to play with today?
- What might Capitu notice when everyone is in a hurry?
- What funny idea could Miquinho bring to the game?
- Which colors would Luma choose for a party?
